Syed's 36 off 24 and Sukhdeo's three-for see off South Shore Royals by 43 runs

Brossard Warriors won the toss at Parc Sorbonne and chose to bat, and the opening pair set the tone. Maninder Singh and Haroon Syed put on 53 for the first wicket in 45 balls, with Syed doing the heavy lifting: 36 off 24 balls including three sixes and a four, a strike rate of 150, before Mohit Bhardwaj had him bowled. Maninder Singh played the calmer hand around him, finishing with 34 off 45. From there the middle order chipped in rather than cashed in: Raja Sukhdeo made 14, Hemanth 11 before being run out, and Amit Kumar hit three sixes in his 24 off 23. Subodh Mahajan gave the innings a late kick, 11 not out off just 6 balls, and Brossard Warriors closed on 166 for 8 from their 25 overs. Mohit Bhardwaj took 2 for 40, though Aman Joshi and S Patil were the tighter pair, two wickets each at under five an over.

Chasing 167, South Shore Royals never built the partnership they needed. Ved Vyas and Amar Kumar put on 39 for the first wicket, and Amar Kumar went on to top-score with 31 off 37, but wickets kept falling around him. Subodh Mahajan bowled Vyas, and from the other end Sukhdeo did the damage that mattered most: 3 for 24 off his 4 overs, taking the wickets of Saurabh Bedi, S Patil and Aman Joshi, all caught. Amit Kumar chipped in with 2 for 13 from 4 overs, one maiden included, Tarun Reddy took two and Amit Malhotra one as the innings unravelled. Mohit Bhardwaj held out at the end for 12 not out, but South Shore Royals were all out for 123 in 23.1 overs.

The 43-run margin undersells how comfortable the win was: the Royals never had a partnership big enough to get back on top of the required rate. Sukhdeo's bowling figures, on top of his contribution with the bat, made him the clear choice for man of the match.
