We love Cricket!

Established in 2012, the Brossard Warriors Cricket Club (BWCC) has overcome numerous challenges to emerge as one of South Shore's fastest-growing cricket clubs that boasts members from diverse cultures, age groups, and countries.

Situated in the municipality of Brossard, south of the Island of Montreal, the club has embraced its name and location since its inception. BWCC stands out by encompassing diverse age groups and cultures, uniting individuals from countries such as India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Guyana. The club remains open to welcoming people from various ethnic backgrounds. Currently, BWCC boasts a membership of over 75 individuals, comprising both active players and non-playing members. These members originate not only from Brossard and Montreal but also from cities such as Ottawa, Toronto, and Kitchener.

Following four years of operating as an independent team, actively promoting Cricket in the Brossard and south-shore area, BWCC made the strategic decision to join the Quebec Cricket Federation (QCF) in the summer of 2016. Although this venture lasted for a period of two years, it resulted in the departure of several longstanding members, while simultaneously welcoming new participants from distant locations like Cornwall in Ontario. Regrettably, this affiliation with the QCF proved to be an unsuccessful experiment, failing to align with the spirit and values of the club. Consequently, BWCC resolved to withdraw from the QCF, opting to return to its familiar and cherished grounds in Brossard.

In the subsequent year, BWCC made a resolute decision to implement a comprehensive reset, prioritizing the restoration of a fun-filled cricketing experience for all club members, while simultaneously upholding a high level of competitiveness on the field. This strategic shift has proven to be immensely fruitful, as evidenced by a consistent influx of individuals expressing keen interest in joining BWCC. By striking a balance between enjoyment and performance, the club has successfully attracted a growing community of passionate individuals to be part of its journey.

Throughout its journey, BWCC has engaged in numerous friendly matches with other clubs, fostering camaraderie and sportsmanship. Additionally, the club has consistently ventured across the border to Massachusetts and Rhode Island in the United States, actively participating in friendly games with teams in those regions. At present, BWCC is ardently dedicated to collaborating with the city of Brossard, striving to secure a suitable playing field that not only facilitates the growth of cricket but also encourages participation among children and women. This endeavor reflects the club's commitment to promoting inclusivity and expanding the reach of the sport within the community.

With open arms and a warm embrace, BWCC extends a heartfelt welcome to individuals from all walks of life, irrespective of their ethnicity or age group, who share an interest in cricket. Join us in becoming part of this vibrant and flourishing club, where the love for the game unites us all.
