Aman Grover Trophy, 22 and 23 August

The Aman Grover Trophy is at Parc Sorbonne on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 August.

Aman Grover was one of this club's founders, and our friend. He passed away on 21 August 2021, and we have played this tournament in his memory every year since, inviting other South Shore clubs to come and play for it.

Four teams this year: two of ours and two from BCA Cricket Club. Each side plays both teams from the other club, so there are no games between clubmates, and the top two meet in the final. Five games if it all runs.

The full schedule is not out yet. There is rain in the forecast for the Sunday, so part of the weekend may have to move to a later Saturday. We will put it here and on Instagram as soon as we know.

The first trophy was played here on an August evening in 2022, two games back to back: the winners of the opener went straight into the final, and the Seniors took it by a single run. It has stayed close since. We lost the 2023 final to Cric Hawks LaSalle by six wickets, then both round-one games in 2024, and South Shore Royals took the 2025 opener by one run. Bring family, bring a chair. Parc Sorbonne is our home ground and the whole weekend is there.
